OUR MISSION

Our goal is to make a difference where we can. It is 100% our primary focus. We are a give back company that focuses on supporting organizations who create safe spaces for teens who are struggling through a mental health crisis. We are currently supporting To Write Love On Her Arms - an organization that supported us in a time of need.

When you look at the statistics of how teens struggle with their mental health, you cannot help wanting to support and care for them at all possible costs.

Some of the stats: 15% is the percentage of teens who have had a major depressive episode, 62% is the increase in teen suicide since 2007, 44% is the percentage of high school students who feel hopeless or unhappy.

HELLO, I AM SUMMER

I am the creator of Albatross Creative (that once was Summer + Dreamer). Albatross Creative is a boutique design studio built around trust, collaboration and authenticity - and it is my dream. I believe the best creative work happens when things feel easy, honest and rooted in real connection. No pressure. No performative branding - just thoughtful design created together.

This boutique studio exists to create space for conversation - the kind where ideas unfold naturally and you feel seen in the process.

JUST A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I’ve always been drawn to the details - the feeling a brand creates, the story behind a visual, the way something thoughtfully made can hold meaning beyond what you see on the surface.

I’m both a strategist and a dreamer. I love structure and intention just as much as I love letting ideas wander, evolve and take shape naturally. Design, for me, lives somewhere between clarity and curiosity; grounded in purpose, but always open to possibility.

I have been working as a designer for over 15 years (but I have been doodling for 30) and in that time I have learned that the best work does not come from rushing or over-polishing, but it comes from listening, from paying attention and from creating space for honesty and collaboration.

I am a free spirit at heart - deeply inspired by the ocean, quiet moments and the people I love most. Family grounds me. Nature refuels me. And creativity has always been the thread that weaves everything together.

Over the years, I’ve worked with brands large and small, but what’s mattered most to me has never been scale — it’s been relationship. I care deeply about working alongside people who value intention, honesty, and creative partnership.

Albatross Creative grew from that desire: to build a studio where collaboration feels natural, where trust leads the process, and where design reflects the heart of the people behind it.

THE STORY OF A SEABIRD

Traveling along the Pacific Ocean on the PCH, I stared out the window with tears filling my eyes. I had just pulled off to the side of the road in a construction zone to get out briefly. My sister had just called me for the millionth time that day asking me how much longer until i was going to get to West LA from San Luis Obispo (California).

Silently I wept. Listening to her cry and begging me to come faster.

Tears streaming down my cheeks with little voices talking in the back seat trying to understand why we drove in silence, why mom was crying, why we were driving as fast as we could to get to my youngest sibling. The sibling that was simply waiting in her grief for me to come grieve along side of her.

I prayed for peace through the tears. I prayed for a sign that I was not forgotten. I asked Jesus for something I could see.

He sent me an albatross.

The bird flew alongside of my car for MILES as we hugged the curves of the coast.

I stared out the window, watching. Almost in disbelief. Thankful to be given such a sign of peace, of freedom, of resilience. As I was turning left towards Santa Monica, it veered right back out over the ocean.

Tears fell again. My place of comfort. The ocean. It was returning to a place I have always felt connected.

It was as if the seabird drifted off as a reminder of its steadiness. Reminding me that God was in my presences as I stepped into the house of my pops, where I fell to my knees next to my sister and said goodbye to the first man I loved, the first to ever love me. My dad - who had fought cancer most of my life. I don't know how long I knelt there with her, crying, but I knew he had fought hard and loved me deeper than anyone would ever love me. Seeing his crystal blue eyes peak slightly through his almost closed lids, all I could do was be grateful for the man who loved us so well. They had left his body laying there for me - to say goodbye - to the strongest, most gentle man I have ever known.

This seabird holds so much of this story - always a reminder that he continues to be with me. The image drawn to the left - that is something that I created right after he died as a reminder of that moment driving down the PCH.

  • With over 15 years in graphic design experience + more than 7 years working with brands like Anthropologie and Sundry to create unique designs beyond just apparel, we help make your dream products a reality. We hold a deep understanding of design and production that makes sure that we get it right the first time through attention to detail + creativity.

  • As a creative studio that focuses on brand identity, we know to use our creativity in a way that words as an extension of your brand. Our goal in creating for your brand is to make sure that each product is unique + individualized, but overall creates a perfectly aligned product.

  • We are here to assure that the process from creation to print is seamless. We will work directly with your print company if needed - we know what we are doing and are willing to communicate with your people. Not only are we offering design work, but we are also offering knowledge on production methods and sourcing. WE DO NOT GATE KEEP - we want to make sure you have everything that you need. from start to finish.
